Tips to make your new car last

So you took the plunge and bought a new car. Good for you. I’m sure it looks great. There is nothing like the clean sparkle of fresh paint on a new car.  The trick will be figuring out how to make that new car look last. If you aren’t careful, your car will lose its luster in a matter of years, if not months, without the right care.

But don’t worry. I found a great Readers Digest article with 74 ways to extend the life of your new vehicle. Some of the tips are obvious. For instance: pealing out, speeding, and fast acceleration decreases the life of your engine. Or make sure you buy gas at a reputable gas station that filters their gas. But the list also includes several tips I never heard before. Did you know you shouldn’t fill up at a gas station if you see the gasoline tankers filling the tanks. The filling process stirs up sentiment that can destroy your engine.
